The engine carries the load the battery used to share, so the fuel average slides towards that of an ordinary petrol sedan. This is usually the first sign.
The battery display drops to one or two bars when you accelerate, then jumps back up under braking. Weak modules cannot hold their charge, so the reading moves sharply.
The red triangle and "Check Hybrid System" message mean the pack has failed a self-test. The car may drop into reduced power or refuse to go into READY mode.
A healthy Camry or Crown Hybrid shuts its engine off when stopped. If the engine keeps running or restarts often in traffic, the pack cannot hold enough charge.
The fan behind the rear seat runs harder and louder when the pack is hot. A fan that roars all the time often means a blocked vent, or modules running hot from age.

What the price includes: the battery pack, free installation at your home or office anywhere in Karachi, a diagnostic scan before and after, cell balancing, a cleaned cooling fan, a 5-year written warranty card and pickup of your old battery. There is no separate labour or transport charge.
Old battery exchange: we give a credit of up to PKR 20,000 for your old pack against the new one. The amount depends on the condition of the modules, so we quote it after the scan.

The Toyota Aqua battery has 20 NiMH modules and runs at about 144 volts. The Camry Hybrid, in both the XV40 (2007–2011) and XV50 (2012–2017) generations, uses a larger pack of 34 modules at roughly 245 volts. It has to move a heavier car with a bigger engine, so it needs more stored energy and more power.
More modules means more A+ grade cells to source, match and balance, and more time on the charger before the pack goes into your car. That is the main reason a Camry pack costs more than an Aqua or Prius pack. The heavier pack and its larger casing also take longer to remove and refit.
The Crown Hybrid (2013–2018) is Toyota's executive sedan in Japan. Its NiMH pack is also larger than a compact hybrid's, and because the car is so refined, owners notice even small losses in smoothness or fuel average. Crown packs are less common than Aqua or Prius packs, so we confirm stock for your exact car before quoting.
In the Camry, the battery is mounted behind the rear seat, between the cabin and the boot. A fan pulls cabin air across the modules to cool them. That layout keeps the pack well protected, but it also means what you put on or around the back seat can affect its temperature.

It depends mainly on heat, cooling and the car's age at import. Most Camry and Crown Hybrids in Pakistan arrive used, so the original pack has already done several years of work before it gets here. A blocked rear-seat vent or a car that is always parked in the sun shortens its life further. A new pack from us, with a clean cooling fan, is covered by a 5-year written warranty.
A new NiMH pack starts from PKR 120,000 for the Camry Hybrid 2007–2011 and PKR 130,000 for the 2012–2017 model, installed in Karachi with a 5-year written warranty. The Crown Hybrid 2013–2018 starts from PKR 140,000. Lithium packs start from PKR 160,000 (Camry 2007–2011), PKR 170,000 (Camry 2012–2017) and PKR 175,000 (Crown). Module repair starts from PKR 35,000, and an exchange credit of up to PKR 20,000 is available for your old battery depending on its condition.
The Camry pack is much larger: 34 modules at about 245 volts, against 20 modules and 144 volts in the Aqua. More modules means more A+ grade cells to source, match and balance, and a heavier pack that takes longer to fit. The Crown Hybrid also uses a large executive-car pack, which is why it sits at the top of the range.
Sometimes. If the scan shows only one or two weak modules and the rest are well balanced, we can replace those modules and rebalance the pack from PKR 35,000. The other modules are the same age, though, so on an older pack the repair is often short-lived. We show you the module readings and recommend honestly.
Not always. A loud fan usually means the pack is hot, and the most common cause is a blocked cooling vent near the rear seat, covered by a bag, a child seat or dust. Clear the vent first. If the fan stays loud and the fuel average has also dropped, get the pack scanned.
